Ashta Chamma

అష్టా చమ్మా

The game of ashta chamma is one of the oldest board games extant, still being played in certain parts of India. There are references of this game in some ancient Indian epics like the Mahabharata.

ashta chamma normally has a 5×5 square board and four players, but one can also increase the number of squares depending on the number of players to any odd number squared

Game play

For a player to win, he/she must move all their pawns to the center square.This game can be played by either 2, 3 or 4 players. Each
player gets 4 coins of same colour and keeps it in his home.
